The SurgiOscopy Story: The Innovation Navigator
SurgiOscopy was founded by Davin Shaw, who discovered that there was a need in the market for a company that clearly focused on delivering advanced solutions to surgeons throughout the Midwest. While there were companies that sold medical devices and advanced surgical technology, Davin saw the need for hospitals and surgical practices to have an “innovation navigator” – a partner to help them discover and implement new surgical solutions that delivered concrete, positive outcomes for their patients.
Since our incorporation in April 2009 in Eureka Missouri, SurgiOscopy has grown to include more than 100 surgical products, more than 20 solution partners, and spans six states throughout the Midwest. As SurgiOscopy continues to expand, its goal will never waiver - to help general, gynecological, urological and orthopedic surgeons deliver the most proven, advanced surgical procedures to their patients.

Managment Team
Davin Shaw - Founder
Davin has a nineteen-year career in medical device sales and management. His primary focus has been in the field of Laparoscopic, Endo-scopic and Orthopedic equipment sales. He started his first company in 1992 which is still in business today. He has worked for major companies like Medtronic, Boston Scientific and Smith & Nephew. For most of those years, he has been in executive management most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing and National Director of Clinical Education. His responsibilities will include running the sales and marketing efforts and to continue to build SurgiOscopy and shareholder value.
Lisa Shaw - Co Founder
After graduating from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science and Marketing Degree, Lisa has worked for the last 20 years in Executive Management and Marketing for many major companies. Her background has also helped her to work as an Independent Sales Consultant in the Medical Sales Field as an Independent Representative. She will be responsible for all Human Resource issues and with overseeing the needs of the Independent Sales Representatives, as well as day to day office responsibilities as the Adminstrative Director.
Cynthia Lekey - Chief Financial Officer
After graduating from the University of California with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Accounting, Cynthia Lekey continued her education in the MBA program at Notre Dame with extensive study in the area of Taxation. After working in the accounting department for a couple of years for General Dynamics, she started her own comprehensive accounting practice in 1991. Her expertise lies in the area of taxation as an Enrolled Agent (EA) and accounting as an Accredited Business Accountant (ABA). Cynthia has been an active board member for various organizations which include Vice President of the Missouri Society of Accountants and Global Airport Development Corporation. SurgiOscopy has utilized her 20 years of business accounting experience in preparing its pro forma and will continue to benefit from her experience as she will be active on a daily basis overseeing the ongoing accounting and tax concerns.
James Schoemehl - Chief Operations Officer
James Schoemehl has been involved in the medical industry for over 10 years. James has successful high level experience in hospital sales, private practice physician sales, industry and business consulting, hiring and training of new reps and implementing business practices for small businesses with a growth objective. James brings this overall experience and knowledge to the SuriOscopy leadership team. He will be responsible for many of the day to day business activities and will initially help grow the business by accomplishing the important task of hiring sales professionals to carry and distribute SurgiOscopy product line.
